For the format to create my Synthesis Essay, I have chosen to write a simple MLA Essay that explains my topic, with evidence from outside sources and online videos that support my thesis, and a conclusion. My main argument is that all people should be respected, and I say this because there are not many people who respect others. These reasons can include age, race, hobbies, religion, and appearance.This is proven in my first image, where two coworkers are mocking this distressed woman, harming her well-being.

The second image that proves this is this photo of a crumpled-up paper, where it serves as a thumbnail for a video on YouTube called “Bullying Activity for Any Classroom”, created by ElisabethJ with an S. In her video, she demonstrates a simple classroom activity using only a piece of paper, where students crumple, stomp on it, and attempt to smooth it out. The activity highlights lasting effects, even after apologies, and it illustrates the impact of bullying. This was proven in the crumpled-up paper with bullying written on it, as it’s crumpled, where you can say sorry, but you can’t change the story.

Bullying Activity for Any Classroom

This simple, low resource, high impact activity is geared towards the bully, the crew, and those mostly unaffected by bullying behaviors. It can take 5 – 10 minutes but is very effective at getting kids to see the effect bullying has on a person.

The third photo I chose resonates with my evidence in support of my claim. The first image properly shows a thumbnail from a YouTube video that I selected as one of my sources. It explains the issue with America’s school system and how it causes violence and makes kids stupid. It causes bullying and harassment, and there are no consequences for this kind of behavior. In the video, there is a section on how a kid committed suicide because the school did nothing to fix the problem

The fourth and fifth images show cyberbullying, the act of using digital technology to harass, spam, and talk badly about others. This photo shows the statistics of cyberbullying from 2018 to 2024. It’s a bar graph that explains the use of technology to harass others online. I have attached another graph, this time a line graph, covering the period from 2016 to 2025. Both of these graphs primarily show the growth of this trend among teenagers from the mid-2010s to the mid-2020s. These statistics will continue to grow over the years, and if it is not solved.

The sixth image I used is this thumbnail of this interesting music video by a songwriter in the UK. In the description of the video, she states, “Omg another Lydia the Bard song calling out society for its deep ingrained ignorance and lack of empathy?” What a surprise.” In this music video, she explains the profound issue of parents ignoring their own children and putting them through suffering. She explains that she is exposing a problem with our society. This is a societal problem with parents simply choosing to ignore their kids and want them to be obedient. As a result, children are being put through pain that the parents don’t see.

In conclusion, these are all the images that I chose which fit into my essay. Although this issue remains unresolved, I hope we can work together to address it. As we can see in the seventh and final image that I chose it for my last paragraph. It’s a cycle image that suggests if you give respect, you get respect. Or another quote which is, “what goes around, comes around.”
